What a fabulous day we had at our annual International Women's Day lunch! The food was excellent, the company was great and we had three fantastic Guest Speakers. From the buzz in the room it was obvious that everyone there enjoyed the event.
Here are just some of the photos from the day. Please check out our Facebook page for more!

From the Meeting 22nd March 2021
Vice President Mark chaired the meeting and welcomed our guests, Renae Hardie Braovich, Joe Griffiths and Dirk Mulder from Bendigo Bank Rockingham.
Mark alsoshared Lukarla's news about her serious health issue. As a result, Lukarla will step back from her Rotary roles for the time being, and focus on her health and wellbeing, and her business. As Vice President, Mark has stepped up and will act as President for the remainder of the Rotary Year.
We all wish Lukarla, Steve and their families the very best and hope that all goes well for them. Rotary is always here to help and support others especially when those we love are impacted.

GUEST SPEAKERS - JOE GRIFFITHS AND DIRK MULDER
Joe Griffiths is the Manager of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, Rockingham branch, and Dirk Mulder is a member of the Board. Both speakers provided us with an overview of how the Bank supports its local community in a variety of ways.
Each branch of the bank is a franchise giving back up to 80% of its profits to the community through Grants and sponsorships. The Bank is currently supporting the Community raffle, which Rotary Baldivis is involved in, and is a major sponsor of our Golf Day.
While our speakers shared the work of the Bank in the community they didn't tell us that Joe was awarded the 'Young Business Person of the Year' in 2019 by the Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce!

Update 8th March 2021
Alan Steel updated us on the status of the golf day and we now have 19 teams. The Golf Course can accommodate 24 teams so we can still fit a few more in. There is also room for more sponsors, so keep sharing as much as possible.
Alan thanked members for the great response from the club, and also made special mention of the Rotary Clubs of Southern River, Rockingham and Palm Beach, who have contributed sponsorship and a team (RC Palm Beach).
Stories from our Rotary world
The vision coming in from flood affected areas in our Eastern States is grim. So many people are being impacted by the situation and they will need help - this is what Rotary does so well.
Rotary Australia World Community Service has launched a project to enable people to donate towards assisting with the recovery in these areas. Details are at the bottom of this article. If you can help please donate direct to RAWCS.
